ShootShifter for Mac OS X – keep your folders of photos tidy
Posted on August 4, 2009 by admin
Imagine situation, when you have on your hard disk man photos from the same event, but taken by many cameras and maybe by more than one person. All those photos are divided between many folders, and you want to keep them in one, but having them sorted chronologically when you add them to iPhoto library. This requires changes in EXIF data of almost each of the photo, rather painful. However you can try a free app – ShootShifter by Jan-Sebastian Schliemann.

You only need to drag and drop selected folders, they will be added to the list and their content will be shown as a thumbnails with borders in color relevant to each folder. additional information is presented in the lower panel.
We can change the date and time of creation of each of our photos in the selected folder. To do so, use the right drawer. We can also sort our photos manually, moving thumbnails and thus editing those EXIF data.

To apply changes we can save all photos to one folder with new or old filenames.

You can get Shootshifter at: http://www.maczentrisch.de/shootShifter/
