Former Apple executive became consultant for Microsoft

Former Apple executive who used to be in charge of localizing new Apple Stores, George Blankenship, is currently involved in Microsoft’s plans to open its own retail stores, commonly regarded as a copy of the same idea as Apple Stores.

During planing the new localizations for the Apple Stores, Bankenship focused on rather expensive places in the city centers, mostly streets open only to pedestrians, shopping precincts etc.
Currently, being a Microsoft consultant, he is supposedly going to make of use of the same strategy, especially if Microsoft is going to open its retail stores in the Apple Stores’ nearest vicinity.
