Juggle desktop wallpapers of your Mac OS X – Dekstopia and DeskLickr

Posted on June 2, 2009 by admin

Programs to ensure an attractive appearance of your desktop in Mac OS X does not belong to the most frequently reported in my blog. I used to be a user who didn’t changed desktop wallpapers too often even though I has quite a big collection of wallpapers. Usually I just forget the of the so prosaic activity as setting the new desktop wallpaper image. It seems to change now, since I have found two interesting apps for Mac OS X.

Desktopia

Desktopia, by Pierre Chatel, enables us to set any number of images as background wallpaper and change them at a specific time. So we have the possibility to match the image shown on the screen to time of day or type of activity (during certain hours of work, other entertainment, etc.).

You can get Desktopia at: http://www.chatelp.org/?page_id=6

DeskLickr

DeskLickr by Aaron Wallis, allows us to download images from different directories on Flickr. We can choose the most recent photos, our own work, or favorites, etc.

DeskLickr nests in the Mac OS X menu bar, making us a menu of basic functions. We can therefore load a new image, select an automatic change, etc.

You can get DeskLickr at http://desklickr.isnot.tv/.
