Paparazzi for Mac OS X

Sometimes on my blogs I post website screenshots. Typically, to take a screenshot I use keyboard shortcuts in Mac OS X to take a full screen picture (CMD-SHIFT-3), piece of it (CMD-SHIFT-4) or selected application window (CMD-Shift-SPACE – 4). Saved the PNG files fit nicely into blog posts (like this), and Worpdress now have quite a nice interface for adding and scaling images. Unfortunately, using a combination of keys does not always works, in fact it is limited to what we see on the screen. Sometimes I need to do full-page screenshot, which continues down pretty far. So far I usually did a few screen shots, and then connected them in a graphical program. Fortunately, I can forget thanks to the free application for Mac OS X, called Paparazzi, by Nate Weaver.
Paparazzi has a transparent interface, you can even specify the minimum size of the image and the size of framing (crop). You can preview images in the Web view and in a full screen (all in the background is dimmed).
As mentioned above, the program gives us the possibility of croping screenshots
and the ability to do full-page screenshots, which goes beyond the visible screen:
Paparazzi allows to set automatic naming schema for stored screenshots, also allows to determine the standard sizes and croping and taking screenshots of a number of sites from previously prepared list. In theory, the program has the option to import bookmarks from Safari, Firefox, Camino, Address Book and Bonjour services. Unfortunately as yet I have nothing to import. The program is based on the WebKit engine and as the author mentioned – was inspired by an application available as a terminal text command – webkit2png.
