Fantastik – Window Vista-like task bar in Mac OS X
Posted on January 28, 2009 by admin
If you recently switched from Windows, and you miss the characteristic task bar with tabs of the applications that are currently working in the system, you certainly should be interested in the program Fantastik. This application, or rather the additional tab of the system properties, displays an additional task bar that integrates with the desktop (discussed), with tabs of all of the opened windows of currently running applications. This bar is more similar to Windows Vista than with XP or earlier MS systems, it provides a preview cloud of open windows. Of course, we can choose the place in which to appear. I must admit that in the ever-visible dock, the only reasonable position is just below the menu bar. In the options you can choose the time of its auto-hide, the appearance and display options (you can choose the applications that will not appear on the Fantastik task bar) and you can also install the additional application, through which the other applications will open their windows just below the taskbar (and not under it) . Fantastik is not for free. The license for one computer is $9.99. The program is also available in the trial version for 15 days.
