Livestation – Television for Apple Mac OS X

I have just discovered the great podcast aggregator – Miro, thanks to that I follow some of the great podcasts about Apple, Macs and a few of other interests (such as those ones made by Discover Channel). However I was still looking for an application in kind of an online regular TV channels receiver. Because of my frequent travels around Poland and from Poland to Ireland (and sometimes other countries) I have not always access to the TV channels that are interesting to me. Moreover, my cable TV doesn’t provide me my favorite channels in English (like BBC World, CNN, EuroNews and so on). But finally I found an app that turns my Mac into an online TV channels receiver device. This application is Livestation available for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
Interface of Livestation is divided into two panels: the upper – a virtual TV screen or channels in the Cover Flow view, and the bottom – a list of channels.
Of course you can hide the lower panel and to switch the display to the full screen mode.
And by the way, apart of my favorite news programs, there is also available our local cable TV in Lodz – TV Toya.
