Fluid or Web applications directly from the menu bar or the dock

The first time I have heard about The Fluid application it was a few months ago, I installed it even, but had no time to properly configure it so i gave up that led to its use.
This time Fluid turned to be the best solution for Google Docs. I have also managed to correctly configure the web application for Blip (Polish answer for Twitter) window to be available on screen by clicking the icon in the menu bar of Mac OS X. So what is the Fluid?

Fluid is an application that creates a fully independent configurable web browser to enable convenient use of the web applications. For each web application you can create a separate program with its own icon ad the independent setting behavior of the browser. The application can be moved to the dock or can be available from the menu bar.

How then does Blip look in Fluid?I created an application nested in the menu bar:

Fluid

You can also set up the transparency rate. Here is application of transparency is set at 40%
