Russian cynicism

Russian president Dmitriy Myedvyedyev have just announced that events in Georgia including Russian intervention (in fact aggression) in that country, was comparable to the terrorist attacks at WTC and Pentagon on 11th September (911). He meant war in Georgia was as hard for Russia as 911 for USA. I wonder which aspect of both events is comparable and with which side we can compare to Russia. If I compare terrorist attacks on WTC and Pentagon to war in Georgia, then Russian president and Red army would be as bad as Osama Bin Laden and army of terrorists.

I guess 17.09.1939 was also had event for Russia. For sure it was hard to send millions of Poles to Siberia and to kill couple of thousands Polish officers and elite of the nation one by one by single shot to the head (Katyn, Mednoye and Ostashkov). I wouldn’t be surprised if Russia expressed demands of redress for its hangmen.
