Euro in Poland in 2011?

Yesterday Polish prime minister – Donald Tusk – anounced plans of introducing European currency in Poland in 2011. Overoptimistic plan of head of the Polish government is widely called into question by the economical experts and comentators, but warmly welcomed by Polish enterpreneurs. Introduction of Euro in 3 years from now would face a lot of obstacles that are clearly visible – high inflation, and hight interest rates. Poland yet hasn’t joined the ERM2, and have to remain in ERM2 for next 2 years. Some of the comentators took Tusk’s statement as an atempt of boosting Polish economy. Introduction of Euro has one more big obstacle, it will need the change of Polish constitution and it is rather impossible due to the very hard conflict between the government and the president Kaczynski who represents the interests of his brother’s party the former rulling party, now in opossition – Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice).
